Having two personalities is not normally desirable, but for the Maserati GranTurismo S Automatic, it works. The Bugatti 16C Galibier came to our attention back in September at the time of the Frankfurt Motor Show, although it wasn’t on the floor at the show. Bugatti claimed it to be just a concept; a way of judging opinion about the next car in the Bugatti line. That’s not a line we ever took seriously.

Seat showed its prototype Leon Twin Drive Ecomotive today at its technical centre near Barcelona. The finished petrol-electric hybrid is expected in showrooms by 2014. The new hybrid Leon uses Twin Drive with power generated by an electric motor for shorter, urban trips while, for longer drives, the car seamlessly switches to an internal combustion engine.
